STANDARD MHFA COURSE
(Standard Mental Health First Aid)
You will learn how to assist an adult who may be experiencing a mental health problem or mental health crisis until appropriate professional help is received or the crisis resolves, using a practical, evidence-based action plan.
This course is based on guidelines developed through the expert consensus of people with lived experience of mental health problems and professionals.

Course Prerequisites
There are no prerequisites for this MHFA course. Students must be at least 18 years of age at the time of attendance.
Clothing: We suggest that you wear comfortable casual clothing. Pants and flat shoes are recommended.

MHFA COURSE
ACCREDITATION
Demonstrate your mental health first aid skills by becoming an Accredited Mental Health First Aider. Complete an online assessment after the course to become Accredited. This certificate is valid for 3 years.
Once enrolled, Provide First Aid Gold Coast will email students a MHFA course booking confirmation with venue details, maps, course requirements and terms of enrolment.
